PLANNING: the pitch

The main question I will be answering in my documentary is “collagen: worth the hype?”. There are so many brands and types of collagen on the market and my aim is to look at the pro’s and cons of collagen and the different forms it comes in and to establish if its worth the hype. I will start my documentary with explaining what collagen is. It is the most abundant protein in our body and is responsible for keeping our skin, hair, nails, muslces and joints strong and structured, but when we hit our 20’s the level of collagen in our body rapidly decreases and we start to lose 1% every year. I will then go on to talk about the different types of collagen and the pro’s and con’s of each for example vegan, bovine and marine and different forms like supplements, tablets, liquid and powder. My first interview will be with Dr Liakas ( a medical director and lead medical practitioner of Vie aesthetics) and he will discuss why he thinks collagen is important and the best way to take it ( his op...
